Lello Bavenni vive e lavora a Vico Equense (Na).
Dal 1958 partecipa alla vita artistica nazionale prendendo parte a numerose manifestazioni e
ottenendo importanti premi. La sua opera è associata ad un certo tipo di surrealismo, “per quel

English biography
He lives and works in Vico Equense (NA) (Italy).
Since 1958 participates in the national artistic life by taking part in numerous events and
getting major awards. His work is associated with a certain kind of surrealism, "…if ever that
surrealism may still exist today …." (Elio Mercuri)
About his work
From figurative to abstract via the informal feeling of Nature he redefines the boundaries of
existence in the decomposition of the plans where the drive enters the vital matter and causes the
meeting with the artist.
Environments, objects, landscapes of the soul, dreamlike situations, blurred reflections,
perceptions, intuitions of space and spirit, are the contents of the works of Bavenni.
His works are expressed into exaggerated colours and surreal images. Elements break spaces
and invade the area of reading plans. The figuration adjacent to the abstract and the perception of
colour is deliberately altered by mastering the use of digital media and computer processing
techniques.
Not just technique, however, but a way to combine the possibilities offered by technology as
Bavenni wants to express himself in a complete way.
Pure colour, impetuous spots and strong lines which come to life one after another, but all
colours when using heat, must temper their intensity until they cool down, they almost start to
belong to another reality which we are, as observers, are not allowed to understand. That's the
message the artist: we can only vaguely understand and see the splendid colours
